How standing orders change is set out below
02 · Cut-offs
We pick the evening before each drop, so your order has to reach us before the picking list is made.
Order cut-offs
Monday 14:00 for Tuesday. Thursday 14:00 for Friday.
Orders in by then are picked that evening, packed in waxed paper bags inside returnable crates, and at your kitchen door before 10:30 the next morning. The office answers Monday to Friday, 07:00 to 15:00.
Every August we close for two weeks. Last orders by 14:00 the Thursday before, deliveries restart the Tuesday after, and standing orders get the exact dates by the end of June. Rok's note on the closure.
Minimum per drop
2 kg
Mixed any way you like, in 500 g steps.
A kilo of grey oyster, half a kilo of shiitake and half a kilo of lion's mane makes a drop.
03 · Delivery
Ljubljana and a 35 km ring around it, on the same Tuesday and Friday drops. Everything arrives before 10:30.
Inside Ljubljana
The 35 km ring
Any kitchen within 35 km of Ljubljana, the towns above included. Past that line we don't go, and nothing travels by courier or post. That is one of the things we turn down.
Keeping
2-4 °C
Into your cold room as soon as the crate arrives. At that temperature the crop holds 5 to 7 days. Two exceptions: lion's mane is best within 4 days, and pink oyster within 5.
Each variety's own shelf life and kitchen note is on the mushrooms page.
Packing and collection
Picked the evening before, bagged in waxed paper so the mushrooms can breathe, and stacked in crates that come back to us.
Collecting from the farm is possible on Saturday, 08:00 to 11:00, by arrangement only. Write first.
04 · Standing orders
Most kitchens settle into the same order every week. Small changes are easy. Big ones need the grow rooms to catch up.
Small changes
2 kg
Up or down on a standing order, with one week's notice.
Enough room for a busy fortnight or a quiet one without anything going to waste.
Larger increases
A bigger order isn't a matter of picking harder. Extra kilos come from extra blocks. We keep some incubating ahead, but bringing more of them into the fruiting rooms, and starting their replacements, takes time. So the notice depends on the mushroom:
The whole cycle, from steamed sawdust to crop, is on the farm page: how a block becomes a mushroom.
05 · New accounts
Two payments up front, then one invoice a month. No contracts to sign.
Payment terms
Pay the first two deliveries in advance by bank transfer. From the third drop on, everything goes on a single monthly invoice, due in 14 days.
To open an account, write to us with your rough weekly kilos, the varieties you want and whether Tuesday or Friday suits your kitchen.
Crate deposit
€4
Per crate, refunded in full when the crate comes back to us.
The same crates go round and round, between our grow rooms on the edge of the Barje and your cold room.
06 · What we turn down
We'd rather say it here than in a reply. Two people and three grow rooms can only do a few things, so we do these.
Not from us
If in doubt
A kitchen inside 35 km, taking 2 kg or more? The answer is probably yes.
Ask at hello@myxaris.com, or read what we do grow first.
